From the outside, you’d be forgiven for thinking that behind these garage doors, you might find a workbench, perhaps a car and a few bikes, but behind these replacement, character garage doors is a new open plan kitchen, dining area.
With a traditional style and a modern twist, the space has been beautifully converted in a way which is complimentary to the existing building; previously a barn, converted into a home.
“A place to cook, to dine and entertain. A space for family, to share and celebrate. The new hub of the home and space for Hugo (the dog) to enjoy his bone!”
On the opposite side of the garage doors, new bi-fold doors have been added, providing access to the back garden from the dining area. The previous external timber staircase has been replaced, retaining some of the barn-like character to the property.
Above the converted garages which now house the open plan kitchen/dining area, the previously un-utilised space has undergone internal alterations and refurbishment to provide a new bedroom with en-suite shower room, a study with vaulted ceiling and quirky access point to the storage space above the bedroom, as well as a new family bathroom.
