For us, this project represents a prime example of finding that ‘sweet spot’ between property aspirations and budget. The result of a desire to expand and improve the existing kitchen and provide flow between kitchen and dining area. This, coupled with a need for a more natural connection to the beautiful garden space, that in it’s previous layout couldn’t be fully appreciated from indoors.

During the design development stage we explored a number of possible design options for our clients, which actually began merely as an internal/structural alterations brief, to knock through between existing kitchen and an adjacent multi-functional dining space, but the narrow layout compromised the potential gain.

We went on to review 3-4 variations of single storey rear extension, with associated internal alterations and each with varied costs implications. It was an enjoyable journey working with our clients to arrive at a scheme that best suited their requirements and budget.
