Speaking with clients during the initial consultation, it was quite clear the issues they were experiencing with their existing kitchen area. The glazed lean-to, with awkwardly placed internal support had become a hindrance, forcing the kitchen to be configured inwards facing and making for a poor use of space.

An awkward configuration, lack of storage and food preparation area, resulted in a cluttered and confusing room with little space remaining in which to dine.
“Selby were able to bring form and function back into existing areas. This then led through into a lovely new open plan kitchen and dining area”
Adapting the existing kitchen into a central utility room with new built in storage in the adjacent corridor, Selby were able to bring form and function back into existing areas. This then led through into a lovely new open plan kitchen and dining area, now directing the kitchen towards the garden. New roof lanterns, rear windows and bi-folds not only made for better views over the garden but also brought plenty of natural light into the new and existing areas.
